Who this covers
Café owners and their staff who use the Paroso dashboard (“customers”), and the guests who order from a café's Paroso menu (“guests”). For guest orders, the café is responsible for its guests' data and Paroso processes it on the café's behalf.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), role and café details you enter.
- Café content: menu, prices, photos, tables, stock, suppliers, settings.
- Orders and bills: items, totals, table, payment status, and the name and phone number a guest gives when ordering or booking.
- Payments: plan payments are handled by Razorpay. We keep the order and payment IDs and amounts, never card or UPI details.
- Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, kept for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To run the service: show menus, pass orders to the kitchen, print bills, count stock and send the emails you switch on.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To bill your plan and send receipts.
- To tell you about important changes to the service. We do not sell data or show ads.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run Paroso, each bound to protect it:
- Amazon Web Services (hosting and file storage, Mumbai region) and MongoDB Atlas (database).
- Razorpay (plan payments, and guest payments when a café connects its own account).
- Resend and Google (sending transactional email).
We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep café data while the account is active. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your café's data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can view and edit your data in the dashboard, export orders, and ask us to correct or delete anything. Guests can ask the café, or write to us at hello@paroso.tech. This policy follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
